RoadsterSport B2 weighted aluminum shift knob
Fits all generations Miata/MX-5 from 1990-2019. Manual transmission only.
Brian's Big Knob! Designed on Brian's feedback, this CNC aluminum shift knob is internally weighted to give nice positive gear changes. Total weight is 385 grams. Anodized Red. Extra large 2" diameter gives you something big to hold on to when rowing through the gears.

Brian's Comments. From the early days of Miata through the present the factory knob has struck me as comically small. Over the years we have offered many replacements that are a little bigger than stock, but I have always wanted one that really fills the hand. When our Fiat 124 joined the fleet I liked the weight of the knob it included, though the 124 is based on the ND Miata and uses an NC transmission the knob is heavier than any stock Miata knob ever was. So we sought to replicate (and slightly exceed) that weight while offering a bigger choice that fills the palm even more, result glides through shift gates easily! Currently using this in two of our NC projects and our Fiat 124.
Black color version is same size, pictures below using black version to show scale compared to alternatives like 'Voodoo Knob Magnum' which is bigger than stock knob.

RoadsterSport BBK Weighted Aluminum Shift Knob - Red
The stock shift knob was fine, but a little on the small side. This shift knob is a solid upgrade in feel and weight. The red fits in so well with the red Veleno package on my car!
Perfect knob! I agree with all the positive reviews about improved shifting & ergonomics. One pass through the gears and I was smitten like a kitten. I took my knob to a trophy shop to have shift pattern laser etched in. Came out really nice. Thumbs up to Goodwin racing for another bang on part that we just won't find anywhere else.
Love the weight it helps smooth almost perfect shifts to amazing.
It is not too big but it fits hand perfectly.

It actually sits lower on shaft so feels like a short shifter.
Again Goodwin had to assist me on even this simple decision.
But after leukemia I get chemobrain so questions usually multiple times.
Each call or email has always felt like the guy I spoke to?

Yeah, it's big. Sometimes I wonder if it's too big but I may just need time to get used to it. Shifting does feel a bit more solid than with the factory knob. One thing I did notice, when it's cold out this knob can get very cold as well.
Fits well in the hand, nice weight, shifting gears feels more positive. The red color matches well with my True Red / Black color sheme.
As advertised. It has a nice heft to it and a great color. Not too bold of a red, which I like.
It can get scorching hot when sitting in the sun, so have a plan to handle that if need be. Easy +5 HP.
Fits really nicely. Feels even better driving than with the stock knob and matches with the interior stitching too. 10 out of 10.
This shift knob is a nice subtle way to switch up the interior of your Miata. I have a soul red and the knob is a pretty good match to the red exterior and looks nice against the red stitching. For actual functionality against the stock shift knob I don't have a direct comparison as I also did the CravenSpeed Short Throw Shifter at the same time, but with this shift knob the shifts are nice and firm and I think helps resolve some of the noise complaints that I read from the CravenSpeed shifter. The feel is pretty good in your hand, it feels slightly larger than I might prefer if I could build my own, but overall it works.
I'm completely blown away with how this shifter knob improves the driving/shifting feel of my MSM! Descriptions don't do it justice. You have to feel it to believe it! Must have something to do with counterweighting the shift lever in it's throw radius. My MSM has the short shifter kit installed and this knob transforms it from good to fantastic! For the first time, I'm actually enjoying Mazda's 6 speed transmission! Throw away that factory knob and snag one of Brian's. You will not regret it! BTW, at the same time, I upgraded to the Cipher steering wheel. I'm having a great time in my "new" MSM!
Wow!!! Is an understatement . Wow!!! Goodwin racing . Awesome job with this big Shift knob! I've tried other shift knobs but this totally transformed my driving experience!
The weight is perfect and makes shifting so much smoother .( Also installed newbronze shifter bushing) . This is now my best bang for the buck upgrade! No kidding!
