Hawk DTC-60 Brake Pad - StopTech DR21 / Wilwood 7420 Shape

DESCRIPTION

NOTE: This DR21 / 7420 shape fits AP Racing CP8350 calipers, StopTech C43 calipers, and Wilwood Superlite calipers. NOT the pad for Wilwood's Narrow Superlite caliper found in the NC 12.88" front kit - that caliper uses the thinner 7416 pad.

DTC-60 (G Compound Code):

DTC Stands for Dynamic Torque Control. DTC pads offer consistent feel and bite with smooth release and torque control characteristics.

The DTC-60 is a track/race pad that operates from 250-1,550 degrees F. Friction levels are very high - over 0.75! This means excellent stopping power, while still being easy to modulate thanks to the DTC compound.

Note that this pad does not develop much bite/friction when cold. Not recommended for street.

RYAN'S NOTES: This pad has served me very well for my time trial miata, on both high performance summer tires and track tires. Smooth initial bite and very high friction, while still being easy to modulate makes for a pad that 'punches above its weight' and performs like much more expensive pads. If you have used Hawk Blue or Black in the past, give these a try - better in every way!
