Direct replacements for the factory rubber top hat bushings. Fits both front and rear top hats for 2006-2015 MX5, 2016+ MX5, and 2017+ Fiat 124. Price includes a pair of upper and lower bushings; enough for TWO shocks. If you want enough for four shocks (the whole car), then order two sets!

We recommend these bushings when doing any performance shock replacement that retains the factory top hats. Works great with Koni Sport, Koni Race, Ohlins (for applications that use the stock hats) and more!

The development of these bushings began with testing feedback of high end race shocks on the Ohlins shaker rig. As the shock pushed up against the rubber bushing in the hat, the bushing squished and rebounded which created an oscillation or "bouncing" in the rubber bushing that reduced the shock's ability to do its job. That uncontrollable oscillation in the shock assembly made it harder to maintain a consistent contact patch between the tire and the road. A need for a bushing that could better control the shock forces was obvious, and so we set about developing these polyurethane replacements. The final product here is far superior to the rubber bushing in terms of shock control, with none of the increase in NVH that would come with other solutions like expensive spherical bearings, making these an ideal replacement for all cars from daily drivers to track cars!

These bushings are manufactured exclusively for Goodwin Racing by SuperPro, utilizing their proprietary engineering grade polyurethane formula with unique material properties. SuperPro Polyurethane is a special elastomer based material which gives an extremely durable suspension bushing that outperforms and outlasts rubber.

SCCA autocross: By our understanding of section 13.5 in the SCCA Solo Rulebook, which covers "shock absorber bushings" these bushings CAN be used in C Street class (CS). Also legal for use in all classes above that including STR, etc. As is the case for any SCCA competition, it is the competitor's responsibility to read and understand the rule book and verify compliance.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

These bushings should be installed dry. Grease/lube is not needed.
Included are two upper bushings and two lower bushings. Take note of the difference before installation. The bushing with a lip in the center is the lower bushing. Place these on the shock with the lip pointed UP. The upper bushing has a wider tapered opening on one end of the hole - that tapered end should be installed facing down, so the lip of the lower bushing can fit inside the tapered hole of the upper bushing.
