DESCRIPTION
The HP Plus is the brake pad for the dual purpose Miata owner.HP PLUS Performance Miata brake pads are streetable and yet capable of handling hard use. The HP Plus material is a high-friction compound that can handle the temperatures of autocross and even track days for drivers in the novice or intermediate groups.
Intermediate to advanced drivers should look to a more track-focused pad for racetrack use.
Warning! There is no "free lunch" with brake pads! Higher friction and performance comes at the cost of rotor wear, noise, and dust. For the dedicated Miata street user we strongly recommend staying with Hawk HPS or Porterfield R4S Miata brake pads instead.

Hawk HP PLUS Front MX5 Brake Pad
Great pads for a street car, I used these front & rear with braided lines. No weirdness, noise or lack of braking.
I ordered these as an upgrade from my stock brake pads. I use my car as a daily most of the time with occassional autocross and spirited runs. The process for replacement was very easy, and they fit perfectly. They do create more dust than stock, however they also stop MUCH better than stock. There is slight squealing when riding the brakes to a stop, but nothing under hard braking. They seem to make the most noise between 5-15 mph. I would highly recommend these pads, and I'll be replacing them with the same pads when these are worn out.
