Direct from Wilwood, a front only basic Miata Big Brake kit with 11 inch rotors and forged Dynalite 4 piston calipers. PLUS our own stainless brake lines as well as Wilwood brake fluid.

Shop this kit from Wilwood and you will find that they do not include lines in the price at all; Wilwood lines are an additional $70 and use adapters which means more potential failure points. Here, we INCLUDE our own custom Technafit brake lines in this kit which do not use adapters and that means a more straight forward install with less connections and perfect fit. We ALSO include brake fluid so you get everything you need for a full install.

This bargain Big Brake kit for the Miata features the race proven forged Dynalite four piston calipers. These calipers provide big clamping power in a truly lightweight and reliable design. Four stainless steel pistons provide additional corrosion resistance and the lowest heat transfer of any one-piece piston design. The Platinum-E finish provides excellent corrosion resistance and long term preservation of their high-tech style and appearance. Calipers are available in either Black or Red.

Braking power is radically improved again with the larger 11.00" diameter disc rotors. Compared to the stock rotors, brake leverage is increased by as much as 10% with the larger diameter. The 0.81" thick, vented fin design is the perfect balance between weight and cooling area for outstanding reliability and fade free performance in tough conditions. Every Wilwood rotor is cast from premium grade, long grain carbon iron for long wear, high thermal stability, and excellent resistance to distortion in high heat. Modern foundry and machining techniques hold close tolerances on face and vane thickness. The 30 vane casting design provides superior heat management and long service life with low rotating and unsprung weight.

Rotor Options:
30 Vane Plain Face Rotor - Ultra-Light with 30 internal straight vanes, plain outer face.
30 Vane Drilled & Slotted Rotor - the same Ultra-Light 30 vane internal construction as plane face rotors above, but Wilwood's specially engineered directional cross drill and face slot pattern that improves brake response and pad performance throughout the entire range of light to heavy braking. The venting and cleaning action of the holes and slots will reduce pad glaze and disperse gasses and heat generated during the pad to rotor interface. The holes and slots also inhibit irregular pad compound build-up on the rotor faces resulting in smoother engagement and improved pedal response in all conditions.
72 Vane Slotted Rotor - 72 internal straight vanes for added cooling and more thermal capacity. Made from Wilwood's exclusive Spec-37 material, a proprietary iron alloy developed to withstand extreme temperatures with the highest possible degree of resistance against distortion, warping, cracking, and wear. If you are taking your Miata to the race track, we recommend these rotors.

BP-20 Brake Pads for the front calipers are street-focused pads with higher temperature resistance than your factory pads. Developed for improved stopping power, quiet engagement, and the lowest possible dusting available from a performance compound pad. Premium grade hardware are supplied along with detailed instructions in every kit.

Please note that Wilwood ships the majority of this kit and has their own processing time of 7 business days. Please allow this delay when placing your order. We ship the brake fluid and lines, typically you will receive these two items well before the rest of the kit arrives to you.

Brian's APPLICATION NOTES: Depending on the year you have the savings of unsprung weight is as much as five pounds per corner at the front, which means a nice improvement in ride quality is a fringe benefit here. New Bargain front only kit gives you everything needed for a front installation, but track or high horsepower customers should carefully consider our own Goodwin Racing Version 5 kits for a more advanced setup. Unlike our more expensive kits, this kit is NOT made hubcentric and uses a separate hubcentric ring that we include in the kit. It is a great kit for the price but hats, brackets and calipers are less stout than what is in GWR kits. Clears most 15 inch wheels but NOT ALL 15 inch wheels, does NOT clear our helium or Enkei RP-F1 15x7 wheels. IF in doubt about wheel clearance, email us for the template.
