PAIR of new Engine mounts (picture shows just ONE compared to stock mount, but you get right and left mounts on this order!) For the serious Miata performance enthusiast we bring you polyurethane motor bushings for the NA and NB Mazda Miata MX5 in substantially upgraded mounts. The stock Miata soft engine rubber block in cup mounts allow a great deal of motor movement...so much that autocrossers and track day racers have complained to us for years about high speed shifts that can be vague and difficult. Our upgraded Mazda MotorSport bushings (sold elsewhere on this same website) fix just half the problem but leave the weak stock mounts (which also tend to deteriorate over time).
These COMPLETE upgrade mounts dramatically reduce motor movement for much more precise operation of your shifts and much more direct application of power to the ground.
Price is per PAIR.
What durometer is best for you?
AWR has been making high performance Miata mounts since 1995. The design has been updated to a larger bushing size which helps reduce NVH, specifically reducing cabin vibration. Alongside a larger bushing design, they recently launched a tested and proven 62 durometer Energy Suspension polyurethane option which is perfect for daily and street use. Are you looking for stability without much NVH transferred to your vehicle? 62 durometer is the perfect solution for you.
62 durometer is recommended for daily drivers with limited modifications where minimizing NVH is the priority.
70 is recommended for intermediate modification levels and for mixed use between street and competition.
88 - 95 durometer is recommended for track-focused builds.
You can always opt for a different durometer if your first choice doesn't suit your needs, all of AWR's bushings can be swapped out or replaced!
62 durometer (ultra soft)
70 durometer (soft)
88 durometer (medium)
95 durometer (hard)
BRIAN'S APPLICATION NOTES: We use a set of 70 durometer in our supercharged Miata. The 88 and 95 Durometer are so stiff as to be considered DEDICATED RACE CAR ONLY...track and autocrossers who also drive on the street should look to our 70 durometer mounts!!! First day is brutal...they take about 500 miles of use to break in! Note that even the 70 is massively stiffer than stock mounts and you can expect some vibrations in the dash, etc.
