McGard Two-Piece Design Spline Drive 20 Lug Nuts and Tool Set

DESCRIPTION

These are the patented design McGard Spline Drive lugs, in two-piece design that makes them radically better than typical one-piece lugs. If you look really close at the picture above you can actually see the two piece nature of this lug by looking into the lug at the bottom of the picture. The part that touches the wheel (the "seat") stops turning and a bearing between that little ring and the rest of the lug allows the outer part of the lug to keep turning.

This kit includes 20 spline lugs and one tool. If you look really close at the picture above you can actually see the two piece nature of this lug by looking into the lugs at the bottom of the picture.

What this means for you is that the lugs are not grinding against the surface of your nice new wheels and these lugs go on much smoother than any other lug choice.

NOTE: McGard recommends against using an impact gun with this spline drive tool. On our own cars with the McGard spline drive lug nuts, we do use a gun just to spin the nuts on and off faster than by hand, but we always do the final tightening of the lugs and the initial breaking loose of the lug nuts BY HAND.

Fitment notes for RX7 owners: these only fit 1993-1997 FD RX7, not the earlier years.
