Brian's Fitment Notes: For 225/45 no fender roll. For 235/40 need light fender roll and/or sufficient negative camber like -1.8 or more all around depending on particular tire choice. Tight lug pocket means we suggest our various tuner lug upgrades with these wheels, such as our McGard Spline Drive Lugs.
I've always had luck with Konig wheels in the past, great quality and relatively lightweight. Very happy with these, bought them for my autocross setup. I did have to roll my fenders due to some rubbing for my 225/45/17 RT660s but these tires do run pretty wide. After rolling the fenders I have no rubbing at all and I'm lowered about 1.25-1.5 inches on coilovers. I wanted a lightweight wheel that wasn't the same RPF1 that so many other people are running, no complaints!
I love them they look amazing and they are cheaper than the rest.
Due for new shoes & I really didn't like the stock silver wheels on my 2006 Copper red MX5 so I ordered these and have to say the are a very nice wheel, finally decided on Continental Extreme Contact Sport 225/45/17 as I've used these before and liked them a lot. I weighed the new wheels & tires against the stock set up and found this wider wheel & tire combination to be only 1.4 lbs heavier than stock. Not bad in my opinion! Thank you GWR!
