PART NUMBER: 61-2336
Manufactured by Ken Auto Japan in collaboration with I.L. Motorsports, Ken Auto has reduced the weight of the second generation rear frame brace (dosukoi) for the 1999-2005 Mazda Miata. The brace connects the two rear tie down points on the Miata and greatly reduced noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) if you are running polyurethane differential bushings.
This brace also reduces chassis twist that is becoming more and more noticeable as the Miata ages. Modern performance tires are continuing to evolve and produce grip unheard of even 5 years ago thus accelerating wear.
Sean's Application Notes: This is a must have for street customers running stiffer differential bushings. The reduction in noise was unbelievable!
I am all about chassis rigidity/bracing and found this lovely piece by Ken Auto. Install took 15min at the most and that's only because you might need a magnet to hold stuff inside the rear end while you thread bolts. Other than that, I stall was a snap. Also I can feel a difference in how more smoothly the suspension is working since the chassis is staying still. Definitely recommend, especially in conjunction with my cusco and roadstersport braces!
