PART NUMBER: 61-2350
Having issues getting third gear when pushing your Miata hard? Experiencing excessive wheel hop leaving the start at autocross? It might be worn out engine mounts or differential mounts!
We also have seen folks having issues getting their new exhaust to line up during installation and it usually turns out that one motor mounts is failing! This causes their motor to drop to one side, taking entire exhaust system along with it. These mounts are genuine Mazda Motorsports 75 durometer rubber engine and differential mounts which are 40% stiffer than stock 55 durometer mounts. The result is much cleaner shifts, reduced wheel hop and bushings that last longer. These are a perfect match for a dual purpose car that you do not want increased noise, vibration and harshness from polyurethane mounts.
These are a simple bolt in replacement, price is for a pair of engine mounts and a pair of differential mounts.
BRIAN'S APPLICATION NOTES: In track and autocross use the factory mounts are not stiff enough to prevent driveline twist that will make it hard to shift when trying to shift quickly. Those tracking or autocrossing their Miata should replace motor mounts every year. If you want something that lasts even longer, see our complete upgraded mounts with urethane bushings but those are MUCH stiffer and will mean more vibrations in the dash, etc.
Put them in last week. They went in flawlessly. There is a slight vibration at idle just noticeable. Tightened up the car considerably got rid of some body rattling. I am pleased with the set. Arrived in less in a weeks time.
