DESCRIPTION

Fits ALL 1994-2000 and 2001-2002 Base Package (Non-Sport)

Our best street Miata stock size brake package. High Performance StopTech rotors and Porterfield R4S pads for street and autocross. Stainless lines for all four corners of your Miata help eliminate a spongy Miata brake pedal and provide a confidence inspiring feel.

The Porterfield R4S is our favorite pad for performance street and autocross use. It does dust a little, but less than Hawk pads and its carbon kevlar construction is gentler on rotors.

StopTech Sport Rotors feature a durable black e-coating on the non-swept areas of the rotor to prevent corrosion. These StopTech Sport rotors are slotted, not cross drilled! Why? Cross drilled rotors are notorious for cracking. We recommend slotted rotors, never cross drilled for ALL high performance uses and that is what we run ourselves.

Brian's Miata Application Notes: this is a great aggressive use street and autocross Miata brake setup...but look to our Miata big brake kit for hardcore track work!

Fits all 94 through 2000. Also fits 01-02 non-sport.

High Performance Miata Brake Kit

This was the first upgrade I did to my Miata. Kit had everything needed to install, and went in smoothly. My car is driven on the street, but I had plans for track day events and some AutoX. After installing and filling the car with DOT4, I broke in the pads and rotors by doing six runs to 60mph, then braking as hard as possible without locking up, then driving around to cool down.

Performance on the road is great, but the track is what really surprised me. Great pedal feel and braking performance. Consistently able to brake later than other cars on the track. We ran five 20min sessions in 80deg weather and I experienced no fading. Had consistent feel throughout the day.

The pads are excellent, but do give off a fair amount of dust (vs stock), and will squeek a bit when I first start driving, which I expected with a higher performance pad.

Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good street set up that will perform well during track days.

Easy install, I don't track the car so it works perfect for spirited drives and normal commutes. Plus who doesn't love the slotted look.
