DESCRIPTION
The culmination of over a decade of material engineering, it has only recently been possible to manufacture the microscopic yarns which go into this advanced micro-fiber cover material. Only one textile mill in the world was able to meet the specification - the results are truly a triumph for car cover users! Stormproof is uncoated and untreated, this means that even after months or years of use, it will retain the same properties as the day you purchased it! Stormproof has tested to be the most water resistant and (because there are no coatings) the most breathable car cover material you can buy. You can't go wrong with Stormproof.
A note on water and moisture: The Stormproof covers are "water resistant" but also breathable. At first glance, that may sound contradictory, as some folks expect a waterproof cover. But waterproof would be BAD! The breathability is key for protecting your vehicle. The cover is NOT waterproof. If the cover was waterproof and therefore allowed zero water in or out, then water would accumulate and get trapped under the cover from the ground and create a greenhouse effect under the cover which would be bad for the paint. Instead, the resistant but breathable cover does allow moisture through but keeps out all the stuff you wouldn't want on your car - oils, dirt, debris like leaves and sticks, etc. So after it rains your car will be wet under the cover - that's normal and the cover is working as intended to keep the bad stuff off your car while allowing breathability under the cover.

NOTE: Covers do not have a hole for the long factory radio antenna. A great compliment to one of these covers is our stubby antenna, which replaces the long radio antenna with a short blunt antenna that is both much more aesthetically pleasing as well as easy to remove with just a couple quick twists. When you wish to put the cover on, the stubby antenna can be removed in seconds and then the car cover can be put on with no hindrance from an antenna.
