PART NUMBER: 60-13282
Designed as a bolt-on replacement for the factory midpipe to carry the 2.5 inch outlet of the factory header, and our RoadsterSport and Racing Beat headers, all the way to your choice of any of our 2.5 inch inlet RoadsterSport mufflers. **Designed for race use only, not legal for street and/or highway driving in California.**
FITS MANUAL TRANSMISSION ONLY!
This version eliminates the converter in the midpipe in favor of two large resonators. Intended for track customers, particularly those with superchargers. Also bolts up to our Racing Beat exhaust, MazdaSpeed exhaust, stock header and Racing Beat header. Also works well with our RoadsterSport Street Header.
Still includes TWO O2 SENSOR CONNECTIONS. All stainless steel construction for years of driving pleasure. This MX5 Miata midpipe is slightly larger diameter than stock at 2.5 inches all the way through. Uses monster 18 inch resonator and additional 9 inch resonator because when you uncork this NC MX5 Miata motor it wants to get loud unless you use resonators this large (by comparison stock resonator is about a foot long).
CARB NOTICE: Installing this midpipe in the 2006 through 2015 Miata means removing the factory second catalytic converter which means not CARB approved. Thus, this midpipe is legal for offroad race use only, and can NEVER be CARB approved. Sorry, cannot ship these to residents of California. Note that there are states in addition to California that now follow the California model and require CARB compliance, please check the rules of your state before ordering, in some states this setup is legal only for race cars and may never be used on public highway.
Stock midpipe is 20 pounds, our midpipe is 17 pounds for total savings of 3 pounds.

I installed this mid pipe and the racing single muffler at the same time so I can't speak for them individually but the car sounds so good now. The sound is deep and she sounds like a actual race car now. At idle its very tame but when you open her up she screams and it's guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Just for context, the only reason I put these parts on is because the cat in the stock midpipe broke apart and was seriously limiting the power. The old butt dyno is telling me I got a few extra ponies on top of what I got back so this is a win all the way around for me.
I purchased this to replace my original high flow catted midpipe which lasted just over two years (sadface) I'd been driving around with a major loss of power due to a broken cat throwing an o2 check engine code. This part came in quick was easy to order bolted directly to my ppe catted header (also purchased here during the original exhaust upgrade) pairs nicely to the FM muffler and sounds excellent during acceleration. Idles quiet increased mid-range torque makes the car feel much quicker even if it isn't. Absolutely screams during wide open throttle! Will buy again would recommend to anyone wanting more flow and more sound that isn't over whelming under normal driving.
There is not much information on how this pipe sounds on the internet so I thought I'd I put my opinion. At idle I think it's a touch louder, deeper, and more agressive than stock. In the mid-range it's everybody as quiet as stock maybe even more subtle. No noticed increase in drone, but slightly better pops and gurgles (still have stock header). I have the GWR street single, and the volume is still quieter than some stock cars. I have no fear of the car being to loud or droney after a 1.8 max power header install (which I did before purchasing and deciding bewteen the hemholtz and this midpipe). If you want to go catless this is THE MIDPIPE to get.
The midpipe sounds great. Currently the car has stock headers and the Goodwin Street Single (which was installed over a year ago). It's slightly more quiet at startup on super cold mornings which is nice. Car sounds excellent above 3k RPM and mildly louder. Very happy with the purchase. Quality is superb. Would definitely recommend.
