OUT OF STOCK
The stock Miata airbox is restrictive by its design to allow use of an inexpensive and flat paper filter. The AEM intake achieves better breathing by using a much higher flowing velocity stack conical filter placed directly in the flow of cool air in the "mouth" of the Miata.
Not only will this intake give your MX5 Miata much freer breathing and quicker acceleration, but also provide a nice deep growl at high revs. This is the same intake that MAZDA sells for all MX5s in the new Pro Spec racing series.
This intake is now CARB approved for 2010 to 2014. NOT CARB certified for 2009. If you have a 2009 and need CARB certification, look to our listing for the earlier 2006-2009 AEM intake, which has CARB certification that does cover 2009.
More information and installation pictures in our forum. Updated version for easier install on NC2, can be installed on NC1 just as easy.
Note: Installation requires removal of the front bumper.
This intake does NOT come with a rubber elbow because you reuse the factory rubber elbow from your 2009-2015. Photo provided is a stock photo of the 2006-2008 version which includes a rubber elbow, because the NC1 stock elbow is the wrong size. But the NC2/3 comes with a suitable elbow from the factory, so this intake for the NC2/3 does not provide a new elbow.

I ordered this intake because the track dog racing was out of stock with no end in sight. The kit is great. It was slightly confusing with the in between years. It was a tight fit to the oem intake boot. But I do have to say I called and spoke with Brian before placing the order. Man this was shipped to me so fast I couldn't believe it when it says it was delivered. I can't thank them enough. And can't wait to order from good-win-racing again.
I have only driven a few miles since the installation of AEM Cold Air Intake. No dyno tests, but I have experienced a slight improvement in the feeling of torque and acceleration performance from zero-60 mph. However, the sound while getting there is amazing. Now there's a bit of rip and snort on acceleration that was conspicuously absent before. The results of the installation are right in line with what I was hoping to achieve. The installation was straightforward with only two (2) bolts in the forward upper bumper cover area which proved to be a significant challenge to access. The quality of materials is impressive and clearly built to a high standard. Everything lined up and bolted in as described in the included instructions. I am very happy with the purchase and improvements to the overall driving experience.
