DESCRIPTION

Finishing what Mazda started, these panels fill in the voids in the Miata's underbody. The middle of the vehicle creates significant drag on automobiles and filling in these areas reduces drag. Produced from sheet aluminum and powdercoated a durable black, they look great and function well. Each panel features a small wicker and cut-out for exhaust heat extraction. CFD testing shows these panels reduce the Miata's coefficient of drag (Cd) by 0.010, or 10 points.

Construction: CNC Cut and bent 5052 Aluminum. Black Powdercoat. Produced in the USA. Stainless steel hardware and rivet-nut install tool included.

Note: Fits Manual ONLY, does not fit Automatic. Compatible with factory midpipe, but does NOT fit with RoadsterSport or most other aftermarket midpipes.
Requires the factory under-body bracing to mount to. Not compatible with aftermarket bracing that replaces the factory braces.

These panels were very easy to install, the provided instructions are thorough and detailed with good pictures. Combined with the rear suspension covers, you can achieve almost a full floorpan to feed nice clean air into the diffuser, only leaving the X-brace in the center of the car and a short section of transmission tunnel exposed. Aerodynamics are just as important under the car as they are above, the more turbulence you can remove from the air under the car, the more efficiently the diffuser will operate! These panels also leave convenient access holes for the header to midpipe bolts, and for the catalytic converter. For an hour under the car and very little weight addition, you can increase downforce AND reduce drag, it's a win win.
