DESCRIPTION
The "S" is for street. These are an old favorite of Brian's. They work great for street/autocross and very light track duty. They dust a bit but not as much as the Hawk HP Plus and the performance is consistent from street temps to about 500. For more serious duty try the Porterfield R4.Carbon Kevlar construction. One set needed for front, one set for rear. Does not include replacement springs, clips, etc.

Porterfield R4S - STREET Front
Installed the Porterfield R4 S brake pads on my 2003 Miata about 4000 miles ago along with new stainless steel lines. The brakes are definitely grippier with these pads compared to the Mazda OEM pads. I am still using the OEM brake calipers and discs. Good pads for better braking with spirited street driving but they do have significantly more dusting than OEM pads. I will take some detailer and clean rags to wipe off my wheels after the 300 mile ride to Miatas at the Gap in a couple of weeks as the dusting will be noticeable on the front wheels. If you do not mind cleaning off brake dust more often, these are a relatively easy performance upgrade.
