DESCRIPTION

Perfect MX5 Street or Autocross clutch, excellent for daily-driven Miatas that have fun on the weekends.

Exedy/Daikin Clutch is one of the largest suppliers of both stock OEM and performance aftermarket clutch components. This complete Exedy Stage 1 clutch kit for the Miata includes a sprung hub, organic compound disc, upgraded pressure plate, replacement throw out bearing, pilot bearing, and a clutch installation alignment tool.

Drive-ability is similar to the stock clutch. Pedal effort will be slightly higher because of the higher clamp loads. All of the clutch discs have spring center dampers to reduce drivetrain shock. Exedy Part 10814.

EXEDY Performance "Stage 1" Heavy Duty Organic Clutch Kit

I noticed that my clutch would start to slip a little after about an hour of heavy use. I installed this as an upgrade to the stock clutch. I called Goodwin Racing during the installation with some questions and they were quickly answered. The clutch performs as I had hoped: no slipping, at most a minor increase in the pedal pressure, and similar clutch feel to the stock unit.
Very happy with the product and and the customer service of Goodwin Racing. I would highly recommend this as a stock clutch replacement.

Exactly as advertised. A great upgrade if you need a little more grunt for your track days over the stock unit. (My stock unit would heat soak under the pressure of Texas tracks, leading to lighter clamping and slippage). The Exedy unit's friction zone ('feel') is narrower than stock, which takes a little getting used to at first. Slightly higher pedal pressure and narrower friction zone leads to a more 'performance' feel without heading into Stage 2 screecher territory. Happy I made the upgrade and really appreciated Good-Win customer support insights to help me make the right choice between options.
