PART NUMBER: 61-2679
Price is for one hub.
Front hub failures are no more! Tires keep getting stickier, Miatas get faster, and the weak front hubs have always been an Achilles heel. We've seen everything from bearings wearing out in a single day to catastrophic hub failures that do major damage to a car. Racers are often replacing several sets of hubs per year to try to stay on top of the issues, and that adds up very fast while never giving any confidence that you won't have an issue. Finally, there is a proper solution.
Tested and proven on our own HyperMiata for the past year and ran on many of the fastest Miatas in the country in everything from TT to Endurance racing, these are the last hubs you'll ever need.
Designed from the ground up to address every weakness of the factory hub, these beautiful billet hubs use cartridge double tapered roller bearings, making them "install and forget" just like the factory hub design. No adjustment, no break-in, no worry about getting the preload right. These just work. Includes ARP studs pre-installed.
When you need to replace the bearings (we still haven't worn out our first set!) it's a quick and easy swap and the bearings are affordable, so consider the up front cost of the hubs a "do it once and do it right" solution.
5.65lbs ea.
These use factory hub nuts, available separately on our site.
VERSION 2.0: Now updated to new Version 2.0 which comes in either ABS or non-ABS option:
- The ABS option now has the tone ring machined into the hub so you do not need to carry over the tone rings from your factory hubs, and you never have to worry about the tone ring coming loose (aftermarket tone ring tolerances are not great).
- The ABS option also comes with Miatahubs' sensor spacer kit as standard.
- ALL Version 2 hubs are now simplified, and use a spiral retaining ring on the bearing, therefore without the need for a bolt-on retaining ring on the backside which would have accepted a press-on tone ring on the old version, that has been eliminated and is now one less thing to check periodically.
- ALL of the Version 2.0 hubs, both ABS and non-ABS now have the addition of two notches/slots to assist with dust cap removal to make inspection and torque checks easier; no more hammering a screwdriver into the gap to try to get the dust cap off like factory hubs. Note: the dust cap is still important ot have installed to prevent water intrusion from the bearing.
Need a bulletproof hub solution for the rear of you NA or NB too? Check out the Miatahubs billet rear hubs, available separately on our site!
There are other aftermarket hubs available for the Miata, from big famous names touting "forged" this and "roller bearing" that. And we have seen catastrophic failures of all of those hubs. Miatahubs are the ONLY hubs to have a zero failure rate across the country. Bottom line, you are spending your hard earned money on hubs because you want to be able to stop worrying in the back of your mind about whether your wheel is going to go flying off into the distance and leave you spinning into a wall when you load it up in a high G corner... and you do not get that peace of mind with any other hub! Do it once, do it right.
