DESCRIPTION

NEW! The popular Konig Hypergram now in 16" size for NC Miata! For years the track guys running stiff coilovers and 17x9 for fast weekends at the track and autocross asked us to make a strong and light 16 inch wheel to soften their daily driving to work....and here it is at last!

The Hypergram is an exceptionally light 12-spoke design that is motorsport inspired in its construction, appearance and its ability to clear many big brake cars and upgrades! Utilizing Flow Forming Technology allows the Hypergram to be lighter and stronger than competitors including a bigger load rating than competitors in this weight class.

Brian's Comments: We got about 2 years of work into this fun 16 inch size for NC. Most 16 inch wheels don't fit NC because of rear suspension link, result was that to get LIGHT 16 inch wheels lots of folks ran old RX7 16x8 wheels that were 15 pounds and less but are so old and merely gravity cast that those wheels are cracking. So....finally a FLOW FORMED choice that is super light and yet super strong, with 690kg load rating! Great size for 200 treadwear 205/50/16, or 225/45/16. And for higher powered street customers seeking light good ride combo with turbo or supercharger or 2.5 liter conversions this works great with 225/50/16 to spread out the power band a little. Expect 205/50/16 will plug and play on any lowered NC, 225/45 will need just a hair more camber, 225/50/16 needs good camber and might need fender lips rolled depending on variables such as the tire choice, the heights, and the camber.

Tight lug pocket means we suggest our various tuner lug upgrades with these wheels, such as our McGard Spline Drive Lugs.

Ian's fitment notes: Here's my 2006 NC1. I've had it 2yrs & it's got 37k miles on it. It's a 2.5L swap, with 11.5:1 cast pistons, Esslinger Stage4 Cam, running 93 octane, tuned with RomDrop, RoadsterSport 1.6 Header, RoadsterSport HHZ Mid 4" Cat, RoadsterSport Street Single, AEM Intake, Fortune Auto 500, Hypergram 16x8, Quaife LSD, GRacing Shifter, G-Loc pads. I've been running FDs with 225/50R16 Hankook RS-4 for 7k miles, so I needed new tires & was getting a little weary of running 30yr old rims. I run some pretty rough roads in western NC & love how the 16" sidewall eats it up. I had to get some more 16". Konig Hypergram 16x8 5x114.3 +38 Bronze 225/50R16 Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 -1.7' camber in the front with no rubbing -1.7' camber in the rear with some rubbing, I rolled the fenders almost flat & it's good
