DESCRIPTION

A fully functional diffuser for the ND Miata that reduces lift, reduces drag, and looks great too. We're big fans of aerodynamic parts that WORK, and Velox motorsports designed this unit in CFD specifically for the ND. If you're like us and want to geek out over all the technical details, you can view the full write-up at the link at the bottom of this page.

The unit is adjustable vertically to fit multiple aftermarket exhausts. Produced from aluminum, the unit can take quite a beating and still retain it's functionality and shape.

FITMENT NOTES: Fits with all of our RoadsterSport muffler options EXCEPT the Twin Tip Super Street. To fit this diffuser with the TTSS, you will need to add longer hardware with additional spacers to space the diffuser down enough to clear that muffler.

Verus Motorsports ND Rear Diffuser

Love the diffuser look so got this with the suspension panels and flat bottom panels. Fit great on my GT with no ground effects. Tucked up high and tight with a Corksport exhaust, no trimming needed.

I felt a difference on the highway with all the pieces, car was much more flat feeling, even in high east coast winds. I found it felt this way too up or down, although top up at speed does feel a tad more stable, but maybe that's just me physically feeling less wind and noise, but get comments and love the look. Finishes the car nicely.

After switching from the stock exhaust system to the Goodwin race exhaust, I noticed a feeling of drag in the car at highway speeds. The Goodwin race exhaust is much smaller than the stock system and leaves a rather large pocket for air to collect in. After installing, I really can feel a difference at 65+ miles an hour. It may be placebo, but im happy with the results.

Install was not technically difficult. I have very little experience with working on cars and was able to do it in an hour. Instructions were pretty clear and there are many videos online of people installing this part. My only recommendation that should really be required is to tighten down the bolts holding the rear sway bar BEFORE bolting the diffuser onto the car. It might lead to a less perfect level, but once the diffuser is installed its very hard to reach these bolts to tighten them. Other than that, quite a few of the bolts are a bit hard to reach, but its manageable.

Again, with a smaller exhaust this diffuser makes a difference in my opinion. I installed the diffuser at the highest level and am really happy with the look of it.

Owning a rear diffuser has been a bucket list mod for me for years. Knowing that this helps improve airflow and is functional was exciting.
Install was relatively straightforward, I was able to do it myself easily with the instructions.
I have the RoadsterSport RACE exhaust and didn't need to put any spacers or cut anything.

Something I didn't notice though till I started the install process, a few weeks after it was delivered, was that one of the side mounting points was bent pretty badly. I had to bend it back into making it flat and it's not perfect. Getting that portion installed was tricky. Unsure if it impacts the airflow as I ensured that the diffuser itself was level where the instructions said it would be.

Driving it at high speeds I can feel a slight difference, looking forward to taking it out on the track.

I emailed GWR about inventory and got a response within minutes. Placed the order and it was shipped the same day and arrived in just a couple days. This part speaks for itself, it's subtle and aggressive at the same time. Installation was easy in the beginning but quickly became difficult when I realized I didn't have paper-thin hands and arms. Definitely recommend using a lift (save your back, I didn't) and have a friend help. Overall I bought it for the looks and it does not disappoint. 10/10

I was excited to see that it was back in stock since I had been wanting to install one for a while. I had a friend with a shop and a lift so it was a very easy process to install. I have only had the car out on the street, so no comparison of lap times with or without the diffuser... but at highway speeds it seems that the airflow allows for better acceleration ...and it looks great.

I have always had a love affair with how rear diffusers look on cars but this one performs as good as it looks and gives my car an "all business" look. Of note the front brackets are redesigned from the diffuser in the instructions so don't think you are missing parts. They went from a single bolt to dual bolt setup it appears to further hold this diffuser on better. You also get plenty of room for adjustments and more than enough spacers. I used the largest spacers on the rear and the smallest on the rear-most side bolts and it is adjusted to the recommended specs but you can tune it for your track needs. I put a Roadster Sport axle-back on my car and this diffuser has plenty of room and also closes off the massive cavity left that the stock briefcase muffler took up since the Roadster Sport is leaps and bounds smaller, lighter and better than stock. It's pricey but you pay for quality that works which is something you wouldn't find on a eBay cheapy-ABS plastic unit that I see so many people running on their cars as I believe they are in the "all show" club. This diffuser is beautiful, light weight (I think the box it came in weighs more), thick powder coating, stainless hardware (and plenty of extra hardware) and installs in about half an hour (need a hex wrench, a 10mm and a 12 mm socket) on jack stands. Solid must buy for aero geeks like me!

Very happy with this diffuser, more than expected. I'd seen one at the track and thought it looked kind of flimsy, but man oh man this is a nice piece. Excellent instructions, if I recall I supplemented some of the hardware because I'm a bit OCD on that kind of thing. "Seat of the pants testing" it feels like it does indeed work, the car certainly seems to move around underneath me much less than before (80MPH or so and up). Track Day on August 6th will tell me more, but if nothing else it definitely closes off the "parachute" formed by the bumper facia, and it looks just cool as Hades. Summary: Dude, I'm stoked! I dropped some pics in the Gallery if you want to look.

Pretty straightforward install and fitment is good. I did it myself but an extra set of hands would make it easier. You will have left over fasteners when you are done. I used the largest nylon spacers in the back. I didn't need to in order to clear my Roadstersport race muffler, but wanted to get the diffuser as low as possible. No vibration or contact with the muffler. It definitely makes the back of the car look better, which is why I bought it. I can't comment on improved aero as I don't track my car. But based on my racing experience, it looks like it should generate legitimate downforce. It's a little pricey but it looks good, much better than a wing.
