DESCRIPTION

One of the few intakes out there to not just reduce intake temps, but shows proven horsepower! Ceramic coated inside and out to create a buffer area, and speed up intake temperature reduction and reduce heat conduction from the hot engine bay. This re-uses the stock intake elbow and does not drop below the bumper beam in order to assure STR class compatibility, and fits both the NC1 and NC2 versions.

2.75" diameter
8" long filter

Customer reports YES this intake is compatible with the HPS silicone elbow hose that goes between the intake and the throttle body!

Xero Limit (Moto East) NC MX5 Cold Air Intake

Pretty straightforward forward install, although comes with no instructions. Enough info on Miata.net to help along the way if you need it. I would say install is 3 out of 10 with most time consuming part is bumper removal. I like the fact that when the filter needs to be replaced I don't have to remove the bumper, but that only took me 30 min max. No noticeable gain but sound is there however faint over my exhaust. I installed with a Fab9 tune and like the end result. May not be a "useable mod" since stock is already really good, but I like to work on the car and when I do hear the sound - I like it!

Great piece. High quality, super easy install. Gives the car a nice "whooshy" growl on quick revs. I haven't gotten the tune yet from my tuner, but it feels a bit peppier above 4K. You'll definitely need to get a tune afterwards to smooth out any stumbling and maximize any (small) power gains. Nice to get the big airbox out of the engine bay too and clear things up a bit. Wish it came with different powercoat options but looks good still. Highly recommend, best value CAI for the NC for sure.
