DESCRIPTION
Our best street performance stock size brake package. High Performance slotted rotors and Porterfield R4S pads for street and autocross. Stainless lines for all four corners help eliminate a spongy brake pedal and provide a confidence inspiring feel.
The Porterfield R4S is our favorite pad for performance street and autocross use. It does dust a little, but less than Hawk pads and its carbon kevlar construction is gentler on rotors.
Kit comes with EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors. They feature a durable coating on the non-swept areas of the rotor to prevent corrosion. These rotors are slotted, not cross drilled! Why? Cross drilled rotors are notorious for cracking. We recommend slotted rotors, never cross drilled for ALL high performance uses and that is what we run ourselves.
Brian's Application Notes: this is a great aggressive use street and autocross brake setup...but look to our big brake kit for hardcore track work!

High Performance Brake Kit
Huge improvement over stock, this is exactly what my RF club needed. Brake pedal is more solid with SS lines and Portfield pads with slotted rotors have much more bite. Looking forward to some canyon runs with this setup to see how they hold up. Worth every dollar, highly recommend as your first upgrade to your MX-5 with Brembo brakes. Kit was spec'd with EBC rotors which I have not have good experience with in the past, but GWR had no problem swapping them out for Stoptech slotted rotors with no upcharge which was awesome, thank you GWR!
Excellent budget brake set up.
I requested the pads be swapped for Hawk DTC-30s as I really like those pads and Goodwin was able to accommodate me.
Did a few autocrosses with this set up and was good but the real test came in Feb when I did the Sebring track day. Consistent brake feel and bite throughout the whole day and the rotors have stood up well to the pads.
I'm so impressed with the stop tech rotors I'm looking into their calipers as well when the time comes.
