This is the 4th clutch I have put in this car and by far the best yet. Compared to the exedy stage 1 this has a lower activation point, smoother and more positive bite without being heavier on the pedal from what I can tell. It is more fun to drive than the exedy and fast gear changes are buttery smooth. Even with a fidanza light weight flywheel it is still quiet with none of the chatter or rattling that I was getting on the exedy. Overall a very nice clutch and better for street than the exedy and ACT clutch I've had previously.
To help those that buy this in the future, it doesn't come with a torque spec for the clutch bolts that we could find but 28ft/lb worked well for us.
Wanted to get some input since this is a newer product. I had the Xclutch Stage 1 + Fidanza lightweight flywheel professionally installed about a week ago, so these are my driving impressions after about 100 or so miles of street driving.
Pros:
- firmer clutch pedal. About 30%. Feels much sportier.
- snappy bite point. A bit lower as well. Getting into gear just feels so much more satisfying.
- with the lightened flywheel, downshifting/rev matching is so much more clean. When you're precise, it feels sooooo good.
- good price point
Cons:
- Nothing to report as of now.
I've heard people complain about the lightened fly wheel, but I'm not getting any of that. So far the experience has been a pleasant and mild improvement of everything I like about the stock driving experience.
