NOT CARB APPROVED, NOT FOR SALE TO RESIDENTS OF CALIFORNIA
Skunk2 throttle bodies undergo an extensive design and testing process to produce a throttle body that doesn't just provide more flow but retains smooth drivability and OEM throttle characteristics. Each Pro Series Throttle Body is designed using the latest CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) tools, which results in a unit that exceeds industry standards. Pro Series Throttle Bodies are also CNC machined from forged, billet 6061-T6 aluminum and hard anodized for durability in Skunk2 s signature finish. Pro Series Throttle Bodies are also compatible with OEM throttle cables, which simplifies installation. Each Skunk2 Pro Series Throttle body also features sealed bearings for smooth operation and ultra-strong, upgraded shafts for ultimate durability. All necessary hardware and a new throttle body gasket are included for trouble-free installation.
A larger throttle body is key to producing additional power throughout the powerband on modified engines with increased airflow demands. The Skunk2 Pro Series Throttle Body for the Miata features a large 64mm bore, which results in significant horsepower gains throughout the powerband on heavily modified boosted and high RPM naturally aspirated applications.
Dyno Comments posted at Miata.net thread from Tester and CSP class racer Scott Fraser: "So Dyno results are in. (We did not bolt up a stock throttle body that day to back to back test but we have dyno results from every dyno the car has ever had. I did clean up the mating surface of the intake manifold to the throttle body to make it flow better for the larger throttle body (see previous pictures in miata.net thread show what was done.). Below 3200 rpms the engine lost a little hp and tq, from 3500-5000 it had a steeper curve, making more power and tq. At 5000 to rev limiter the car roughly gained 5-6 hp and 5-6 foot pounds of torque. We drove the car last weekend and throttle felt great. Now we need to focus on everything else."
Install Notes: Some have found it necessary to crank open the idle screw a little on install. Be sure to watch the little black idle screw base plate, use some thread locker if it starts to back out.

Love it, a nice upgrade to a modified engine with bigger 84mm pistons and cams and 10.3 to compression. Does require some porting to the intake manifold which is easy to do with the right tools. I included a powercard for fuel management and my AF meter reads a perfect 14.7 Stoich with stock injectors and ECU
