DESCRIPTION

Competition Clutch Street Series "Stage 2" clutch/flywheel combo. Note Comp Clutch does not make a "Stage 1", so the "Stage 2" is their mildest option. Provides up to 80% increase in torque capacity and is properly suited for aggressive street use and moderate track use. Utilizes Competition Clutch's Brass Plus material with its alloy backing matched to a performance pressure plate will provide smooth engagement and extended life.

Includes clutch plate, clutch disc, flywheel, pilot bearing, release bearing, clutch to flywheel and flywheel to crank hardware, and alignment tool.

Required break in period of 300 miles (500 miles recommended)

Clutch rated for 340 ft-lbs
Flywheel weight: Single mass 12.5 lbs (Factory ND2 dual mass flywheel is 19 lbs)

SINGLE MASS Flywheel Note: All aftermarket flywheels for the ND2 are SINGLE MASS flywheels. Factory flywheel for the 2019+ ND2 is a dual-mass flywheel, and Mazda did that because the dual mass design acts as a buffer to help reduce shock load to the transmission. The ND manual transmission is known for being a bit fragile. Mazda has made several internal updates to the transmissions over the years to improve its strength, so 2019+ cars have the best version, but they are still prone to issues and so Mazda did the dual mass flywheel to further protect the transmission. Aftermarket clutch/flywheel makers supporting the ND2 do not offer a dual mass flywheel like the factory style, so with any aftermarket clutch/flywheel package you are giving up that protection of the dual mass design, and accepting some added risk to the transmission by changing to a single mass flywheel. If you have more horsepower/torque than the factory clutch can handle, an aftermarket clutch may indeed be your only option, but you must understand some added risk comes along with this too. Mazda obviously will not warranty a transmission that was changed to an aftermarket clutch/flywheel.
