DESCRIPTION

ACT Stage 1 "Street" Clutch and Flywheel combo. This combo comes complete with Flywheel, Pressure Plate, Clutch Disc, Throw Out Bearing, Pilot Bearing and Clutch Alignment Tool.

Stage 1 Clutch:

Combines a Heavy Duty pressure plate with a performance organic street disc with sprung hub which makes for a clutch that is still reasonably easy to drive in all street conditions, but paired with the heavy duty pressure plate this combo is able to hold more than twice the torque of the factory clutch. The disc features premium organic friction materials able to withstand increased heat and abuse, steel-backed linings for high burst strength and modifications engineered for quicker shifting. The ACT Street clutch kit provides a moderate and consistent pedal feel, smooth engagement and significantly improved durability. Meets SFI Spec 1.1.

ACT Stage One Heavy Duty Clutch Kit is rated for 310 ft lbs of torque (at the flywheel). We recommend this clutch for anyone adding a turbo or supercharger to their MX5.

Streetlite Flywheel:

ACT XACT StreetLite Fywheels is 12.3 lbs and provides improved engine response, acceleration and a higher degree of safety than the heavy stock flywheel. Stock flywheel is 15.2 lbs.
StreetLite Flywheels are true one-piece designs CNC machined from forged Chrome-moly which is stronger and more durable than billet steel or aluminum. This flywheel can be resurfaced with no need to purchase additional parts.

Good Drivability. The 'just right' weight for street fun that won't annoy you in stop and go traffic.
Brian's Notes: Below 4500 rpms this flywheel will feel about the same as stock except that you need a little more gas to get going since you have dropped a few pounds of rotating mass that was previously helping you off the line. I do notice a little more vibrations from 6000 and up, which again is the expected result of less dampening spinning mass than before. On our scale this flywheel weighed in at 12.3 pounds compared to stock 15.2 pounds. This flywheel will not fit 2019 and up ND2.
