DESCRIPTION

Improve your driving experience with easier heel-toe downshifting. We moved the throttle pedal closer to the brake pedal (8mm) and closer towards the driver (15mm) to aid in heel-toe downshifting. On track, we noticed a large improvement in the driver's ability to correctly match revs during turn in. This is for people who find it difficult to heel-toe with the factory vehicle.

- Improve Heel Toe
- Throttle Pedal Spacer is CNC machined in the USA from 6061-T6 Aluminum
- Quick and easy install
- Completely non-invasive install
- Anodized Black

Verus Engineering Throttle Pedal Spacer

I want to start by saying how much I dislike the ND bottom-hinged throttle pedal. This was not a good idea. It is awkward in regular driving and I really have to crank my foot sideways to do a good heel-toe downshift.

I wasn't here to buy this product, but I needed to spend a little more to get free shipping so I gave it a shot. I'm really glad I did because it solved both of the problems I described above. It actually makes the throttle feel more natural in normal driving by changing the relationship of the pedal surface to the pivot point. Hard to describe maybe, but it feels more like a normal pedal afterwards.

This product really does make heel-toe downshifts easier. I can tell they put a lot of R&D into the dimensions because it feels basically perfect now. The car should have come from the factory like this.

I purchased this when I installed racing seats. I'm 5-10 but it seems like Mazda thinks my legs are too short and torso too long.

I got my seat really close because I need that to get comfortable with the pedals but my arms are then too close to the steering wheel.

I installed these pedal spacers. They are heavy and sturdy and very precise. The only thing not precise is the lower mounting brackets which are threaded and then anodized. In the anodizing step, they got paint on the threads and I could not fit the screws through, they would not go in without chasing the thread and it was time consuming.

I would recommend this even if pedal reach isn't a problem because it allows the gas pedal to be flat with the brake pedal and moves the pedal over a bit, indeed making it better for heel-toe operation.

The Verus Engineering Throttle Pedal Spacer is everything they promise it to be. It has an amazing fit and finish. It looks amazing. Quality is amazing. Its an all around great product for an agreeable price.

However I ran into some difficulties using the product. I am tall and have large feet preventing me from Rev-Match Downshifting normally. Unfortunately the Verus Pedal Spacer brings the pedal so far forward that my knee is being crammed into the steering wheel, and I cannot drive for periods of longer than 20 minutes at a time.

I am 6ft 2, with size 15 shoes. Maybe people smaller than me will have better luck but if youre my size the only way to get the pedal spacer to work is a different seat or steering wheel.

I seriously rate this product 5/5 Stars. It just sucks I am too tall to use it.
